POLITICIANS Spirit Hawk ^i^ |

As you may have noticed, politicians are not real popular with me. Nothing to do with being affiliated with one party or another but, I don't particularly care for anyone that turns their backs on their own people and betrays the very trust that they were sworn to protect. As far as I'm concerned I have little use for any of today's politicians, it doesn't really matter the party. Here is a real novel idea for everyone. How about voting for the best person for the job instead of who has the best campaign or because they belong to a certain party. How about saving the millions spent on campaigns and instead put that money to a better use such as the things they claim our government can't afford to do. You know, the little things that might accidentally save some lives right here at home or let some people live, not just survive or better supply the troops they send to war. How about looking at a candidates past history, not at the false promises they make to gain your vote with no intention of ever keeping them. How about not complaining about how things are done and actually voting for someone who will change them for the better and letting them know that if they don't they are out the door...permanently! How about remembering that ours is a government by the people for the people. Wouldn't it be great if we just said," You know? None of these candidates are worthy of leading our country, now get us someone on the ballots that can." instead of settling for the lesser evil. Wouldn't it be great if we held our leaders to their promises and told them," To heck with four years of your lies we've had enough, you're out of here now, better men and women are waiting in line for the job!" "Poli" in latin means many and "Tics" are blood sucking parasites. Remember people, those in power are there because we allow them to be. If they sell us down the river, as many are doing right at this very moment, and we sit idly by and let them, then we have no one to blame but ourselves. Frankly, if I had my way I'd give each of our poor, on the Reservations and in the cities, a scalping knife and then provide each with a politician to practice on! So says, Spirit Hawk ^i^ |
